News And Updates:

March 10, 2003: Almost there!
  • Information on the Dance is now available!

Saturday Night Dance

Long ago, in a distant land, a dark lord forged his greatest plan:

"Three contests for the dancers fair.
Seven awards for the costumers in their outfits worn.
Nine doorprizes for random draw.
One Dance to rule them all.
One Dance to call them.

One Dance to bring them all,
and in the darkness bind them!
In the land of Blacksburg when Technicon calls!"

Join us for our biggest dance blowout in twenty Technicons! We will have three dance contests during the night! Seven Prizes will be handed out to the best convention-themed or dance-themed Hall Costumes! Nine doorprizes will be drawn for! Plus don't miss out on our special music blocks! Half-hour blocks of tunes from these categories: Anime! The 80's! Techno! The 90's! and more! Last of all, we will continue the tradition of wrapping-up the dance with the infamous: Disney Death! Watch for a schedule to be posted at Registration on Saturday morning!

February 28, 2003: LARP Information
  • The Vampire LARP information is posted.  (opens in a new window)
  • Con Memories Book: This is a special call to all our attendees, especially those of you returning from previous years. This year Neil Sedlak has volunteered to carry around a con memories book. Everyone is encouraged to write, draw or otherwise (cleanly) express themselves in this book for future generations! We would also love to have any other con related printed materials from years past, including photos, badges, program books, funny stories, poetry, or anything else that can be put into a book. Yes, even string if there is an associated interesting con related story about such string. Pages will be reserved for the guests to express themselves as well. At the end of the con, the book and its contents will be placed into the auction!  If you can't attend this year but would like to mail something for inclusion in the book, email info@technicon.org and we'll arrange it.
