Advertising at Technicon:

Interested in advertising in the Technicon 23 Program Book? Every attendee receives a copy of this booklet, which provides detailed information about the events taking place at the convention as well as YOUR advertisements for local businesses. In addition to the Virginia Tech students who attend, more than 200 travelers join us from out of town, including students from other universities. Your ad will be situated between the articles, prominently placed for all attendees to read. Prices vary depending on the size of your advertisement. The following sizes are available:

Full page (5.5"w x 8.5"t), interior page, $30
Full page (5.5"w x 8.5"t), inside front cover, $100
Full page (5.5"w x 8.5"t), inside back cover, $75
Centerfold two-page spread (11"w x 8.5"t), $70
3/4 page (5"w x 6"t), interior page, $25
1/2 page (5"w x 4"t or 2.5"w x 8"t), interior page, $20
1/4 page (5"w x 2"t), interior page, $15

Guaranteed placement is an additional $5 to have your ad situated in a specific article (for example, placing a gaming store ad with the game descriptions). More complex arrangements are available on an individual basis.

Have a menu you'd like to distribute? Inserts (coupons, magnets, bookmarks, menus, etc) supplied by the advertiser (minimum 300 copies provided to us) are $20 to have one inserted in every book. Purchase a 1/2 page or larger ad in addition, and your insert is $10.

Are you a student or non-profit organization interested in advertising? A $5 discount is available for your organization!

Freebie Table:

We will have a freebie flyer table located near Registration if you wish to send a package of handouts. There is no guarantee everyone will see your flyer (but if you purchase a handout slot, everyone will get one, hint hint!) To mail freebies, our address is:
