Technicon hosts a variety of programming throughout the weekend. Do you have an idea for an event, panel, workshop, or something else you would like to host at Technicon? Contact our programming director and let him know about it! We're always looking for new things to add to our schedule. Speaking of which, check our schedule for more detailed information about events, times, and locations. Until the schedule is filled up, here's a list of some of the events we have planned:

Anime: Three full days of fabulous Japanese Animation await in our Anime Room. Come watch an old favorite, or experience something new! Hosted by The Animation Society of Virginia Tech

Art Show: Filled with beautiful works from local and regional artists, you're sure to find something that strikes your fancy in our Art Show. Just visit our artshow page to find out more!

Autograph Sessions: Bring a pen and something you want signed, and our Guests of Honor will gladly autograph it for you at the convention (free!). This is your chance for the ultimate personalized collectible!

Concert: Come and listen, or even sing along, at the White Plectrum Filk Concert. Keith Brinegar strums out familiar tunes with a sci-fi twist. These folksong parodies are sure to have you rolling in the aisles! (Yay Goo!)

Masquerade: Have a costume you'd like to show off, or a skit that needs performing? Enter our Masquerade and compete in a host of categories. Not a performer? Come see knights and ladies in regalia, marvel at the expert craftsmanship, laugh yourself silly at the humorous sketches, and help defeat the all-powerful Vile One!

Dance: Technicon hosts the April Yules Dance. Whether you're Waltzing with Wizards or Moshing with Elves, bring your best cloak, cape or dress and spend the Eve at the Technicon April Yules Dance. Wands, water, and Bertie Botts Beans provided!

Independent Film: Technicnon is proud to feature a variety of local filmmakers who join us to present their latest projects. This year, guest Jerry Conner will be presenting Appalachian Gothic. Are you a student who would like to present a film project? Just email programming@technicon.org and ask about joining the film festival!

Panels and Workshops: Have questions about Science Fiction and Fantasy? Want to get involved in the industry, but don't know where to start? We offer panels and workships in writing, art, publishing, and other areas. Come and learn more! These panels feature our guests of honor - successful professionals in art and literature! Who better to show you the ropes?
