Technicon 27

March 19 - 20, 2010 :: Blacksburg, VA 24061

A Convention Celebrating the Arts of Science Fiction and Fantasy

Technicon 27 Parking and Location Map

Note: These are only recommendations based on the general state of parking on campus. Attendees must observe any posted signs. Call Virginia Tech Parking Services (540-231-3200) between the hours of 0800 - 1700, Monday - Friday, if you have questions about parking on-campus.

In general, attendees with ordinary vehicles may park in any unmetered space marked "F/S" or "C/G" after 5pm on Friday and all day Saturday and Sunday, with no permit required. If you are planning on parking on campus before 5pm on Friday, you will need to plan on picking up a free Visitor's Permit from VT Parking Services. An important exception is the drillfield, which is restricted to permit holders until after 8pm Friday. All posted restrictions must still be observed, such as 24-hour loading zones, motorcycle only spaces, etc. RVs have special restrictions; we suggest contacting both VT Parking Services and the con in advance.

2009 - 2010 Virgnia Tech parking map: The light green and dark green areas are generally the available areas. The "Derring Lot" is probably closest, but likely to fill up; the next best choices are probably the western "Perry Street Lot" and then the western "Prices Fork Lot".

Perry Street and West Campus Drive, Blacksburg, VA 24061: Intersection closest to parking lots for trip planning purposes. Note that Pamplin Hall is somewhat unhelpfully labeled "Virginia Tech Marketing Dept".
